According to designer Debbie Wijskamp, there is great beauty to be found in the transient and the imperfect. With the Blauw Bloesem tableware range, she provides proof of this. The Blauw Bloesem tableware is characterised by classic, rounded shapes and soft lines. This really brings out the textures and the Delft Blue decorations. “Normally, Delft Blue tableware features large decorations. But I wanted to take small sections and place them on just one side of the pottery. The decoration seems to creep out from the rim, as it were. This gives the tableware a tranquil appearance. And it ensures that the decoration remains clearly visible, whatever is being eaten or drunk.
